Good Morning!

7am routine consists of:

WASH: This stuff is amazing. I’ve been using it for a few months now and have nothing but great things to say. I can’t say the same for some of the other products I tried from the line. After 3 weeks they went straight into the trash with ZERO hesitation. Clear Skin Probiotic Cleanser

SPARY: After patting my face dry I spray my FAVORITE facial mist EVER. Queen of Hungary Mist.

EYE CREAM: Next is just your basic eye cream. Nothing too special here. I’m still looking for that I Cream that I’m gonna fall in love with. Benefiance WinkleResist24

VITAMIN C: Moving on to Vitamin C serum. Been using this since it launched and it’s pretty nice. I’ve def seen a difference in my skin since using it. There are so many Vitamin C serums out there now, I only chose this one cause I love Sunday. I give this about 2-3 mins to absorb. C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum

MOISTURIZE: This product is very new to me. I literally bought it yesterday. I read the reviews before buying it, which were great. But what sold me was the texture. It felt like a whipped oil that left no residue what so ever. It seems great for combination (normal to oily) skin. Lala Retro Whipped Cream

What is the point of the face mist? Do you just like the feeling or it provides extra moisture? Also, where does toner come into play? Do you only use it at night?

Hi Zara, so once my face is dry after washing it, I prefer to apply my serums or moisturizer on damp or moist skin not dry. That’s where the mist comes in. I use the toner at night after washing my face, I dry my face, and then apply the toner on the cotton pad and wipe my face. The toner has witch hazel in it that controls oil and tightens pores, balances the pH of my skin and regulates oil production. So they serve different purposes.

Thank you. Also, I’m looking for a good primer that doesn’t enhance the size of my pores. The smashbox and makeupforever are to drying and the Becca is to illuminating.

Also, the is Clinical brand is what Shani Darden recommends along with the cleansing complex, serum, her retinol serum and the Dr. Dennis Gross alpha beta daily peel.

You know I love the Lancôme la base primer, I’ve been using it for 2 months now. I really feel like it fills the small pores I have. –thanx for the recommendation, I have tried the peel before but didn’t love it. I’ll give it shot again. 😉

You’re still using that? Perfect. I’ll pick it up – last time the Sephora employee talked me out of it and said it’s basically the same as the smashbox. This pregnancy has jacked my skin. I can’t wait to start using products to fix it.

What are your concerns? What would u like the serum to do? Let me know and I’ll recommend something. Yes so far I’m loving the lala whipped. I think it wouldn’t be just as great for dry skin as it is for oily. You should def try it out. You can always take it back if it doesn’t work for you.

At the moment I am on Retin-A gel so my skin has periods where it gets really dry and peels, because of that it’s also a little sensitive. But when it regulates itself out I am combo skin, oily t-zone and dry chin + cheeks

Well I am currently on Retin-A so it makes my skin so dry that it sometimes peels but, when it does regulate itself out I have an oily t-zone and dry cheeks + chin. I would just want a serum to hydrate without making me oily in my t-zone. I’ll get the lala whipped a try, maybe since we are heading into summer it could work for me.

Funny you like Sunday because I just bought the Water cream and it turned my entire face dark because it was too harsh for my skin . I had high hopes for this cream! So far that line has done more harm than good :-/

Shiseido

My new favorite moisturizer I got from Sephora a few days ago…I am loving everything about it!
image
I have come to realize that my skin has gone from dry to combo…leaning more towards oily. So I had to discontinue using the Josie Maran Light Oil along with the Milk. I went to Sephora in search for a light day time moisturizer, with an SPF and found the Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Day Emulsion SPF 15. YES! “wrinkle”, lol. I have always loved Shiseido, so I thought I’d give it a shot. I have used it for a few days now and love it. It’s not heavy, yet it’s moisturizing. It doesn’t make my make-up greasy mid-day like the oil I was using did. So far it is wonderful!

Have you noticed that since you’ve become a bit more oily that it’s affecting your MUFE hd foundation? I’m oily in summer and combo in winter and my HD foundation has become an oil slick lately and it’s killing me!

Shiseido

Hey Guys,

Recently Shiseido repackaged some of their skin care and even changed their names. The toner that I used for many years was one of the products that changed. The new IBUKI Softening Concentrate is very similar to the toner I used, so I got this one instead. I finished the Arcona toner and I decided to go back to Shiseido. Just to be clear, I use this toner in the morning after washing my face, and before applying my make-up.

My night time toner is still this:

Flawless Skin…

Hey everyone,

One of the best things about studying at home all day other than the fact that I’m actually becoming more educated, lol is the fact that I get to sit downstairs in my study from 10am to 5pm with a bare canvas at least 4 days a week. I have always been the type of girl that put make-up the minute she woke up every single morning. Even when I had just given birth and had days where I stayed in pajamas all day on motherly duties, I would do it looking damn good. I was always the kind that thought someone might knock on the door or I might have a errand to run, so I should always look presentable.

Of course the benefits to this mentality was that I always look presentable, the cons were that I am was not letting my skin breathe at all during the day. Since staring school I find myself waking up and hitting the books 4 days a week. I don’t really leave the house much during the day until my nanny leaves. So around 5pm is when I actually put make-up on, and let me tell you guys, it doing wonders for my skin. So really what happens is I wash my face at night, and then for the next 19 hours my skin is bare. It breathes and I don’t abuse it with cosmetics. Then I apply cosmetics around 5pm because thats when I actually have a life. lol. So really I am only wearing make up for about 5 hours of each day. My skin has been looking amazing.

My skin regimen has changed completely. I wash my face at night with my Kate Somerville Detox Cleanser.
image
Then I wipe my face with my toner from Shiseido Hydro Nourishing Softener.
image
This cleans any dirt, oil or reside left behind from the face wash, hydrates, and prepares my skin for my night serum. Last step for the p.m is my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum.
image

In the AM. I wash my face with warm water apply my toner and very little eye cream. During the day when I take a break I like to exfoliate and wear masks, I do this only 2 times a week. I actually have on a mask as I type. I use my Philosophy micro delivery exfoliating wash with my Clarisonic Mia 2. Then on my clean skin I apply a mask and return to books while I wait for the it to dry.
image
image

When 5pm comes, and I have to apply make-up this is when I use moisturizer. Currently I am using Clarins Multi-Active Day, and I have no complaints.
image
Of course I have a thousand and one other products to alternate the ones I named earlier, but these are for now the ones I am using primarily.

XoXo,
Anyuta.

Serenity

Hey Guys,

A couple of years ago when I was on my honeymoon, coming back at the airport I saw this huge store very similar to an Ulta or Sephora. There I got 3 lipsticks from Shiseido all of which I still restock on. One of them is my fav! Perfect Rouge RS 701 in Serenity.

Tone to Set…

Hi guys,

A couple of weeks ago I had my make-up done by my good friend, Linh Tran. I had on full face make-up when I went by her because I was coming from somewhere else. I of course thought my make-up looked good, lol, but Linh told me otherwise. From far away my foundation looked fab, but from close up I realized what she was referring to. She showed me how in different areas of my face especially under my eyes and near my nose my foundation was not set properly. It kind of looked like my face was dry, almost like it was flakey and needed exfoliation.

Anyway, Linh told me to use a toner/softener by Shiseido called THE SKINCARE Hyrdo-Nourishing Softener Lotion. The purpose of this product is to hydrate and exfoliate the skin making it clearer, hydrated and remove dead skin cells to give you a radiant face.

Of course I bought the lotion, and let me tell you guys – it was wonderful. Every night after washing my face I pump 3 times onto a Shiseido Facial Cotton, and apply it all over my face including my neck. Work in an upward motion. Since using this product I have definitely seen a difference in my skin texture and the way my make sets.
