Good Morning!

7am routine consists of:

WASH: This stuff is amazing. I’ve been using it for a few months now and have nothing but great things to say. I can’t say the same for some of the other products I tried from the line. After 3 weeks they went straight into the trash with ZERO hesitation. Clear Skin Probiotic Cleanser

IMG_2847

SPARY: After patting my face dry I spray my FAVORITE facial mist EVER. Queen of Hungary Mist.
IMG_2845

EYE CREAM: Next is just your basic eye cream. Nothing too special here. I’m still looking for that I Cream that I’m gonna fall in love with. Benefiance WinkleResist24
IMG_2848

VITAMIN C: Moving on to Vitamin C serum. Been using this since it launched and it’s pretty nice. I’ve def seen a difference in my skin since using it. There are so many Vitamin C serums out there now, I only chose this one cause I love Sunday. I give this about 2-3 mins to absorb. C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum

MOISTURIZE: This product is very new to me. I literally bought it yesterday. I read the reviews before buying it, which were great. But what sold me was the texture. It felt like a whipped oil that left no residue what so ever. It seems great for combination (normal to oily) skin. Lala Retro Whipped Cream

What is the point of the face mist? Do you just like the feeling or it provides extra moisture? Also, where does toner come into play? Do you only use it at night?

Hi Zara, so once my face is dry after washing it, I prefer to apply my serums or moisturizer on damp or moist skin not dry. That’s where the mist comes in. I use the toner at night after washing my face, I dry my face, and then apply the toner on the cotton pad and wipe my face. The toner has witch hazel in it that controls oil and tightens pores, balances the pH of my skin and regulates oil production. So they serve different purposes.

Thank you. Also, I’m looking for a good primer that doesn’t enhance the size of my pores. The smashbox and makeupforever are to drying and the Becca is to illuminating.

Also, the is Clinical brand is what Shani Darden recommends along with the cleansing complex, serum, her retinol serum and the Dr. Dennis Gross alpha beta daily peel.

You know I love the LancĂ´me la base primer, I’ve been using it for 2 months now. I really feel like it fills the small pores I have. –thanx for the recommendation, I have tried the peel before but didn’t love it. I’ll give it shot again. 😉

You’re still using that? Perfect. I’ll pick it up – last time the Sephora employee talked me out of it and said it’s basically the same as the smashbox. This pregnancy has jacked my skin. I can’t wait to start using products to fix it.

What are your concerns? What would u like the serum to do? Let me know and I’ll recommend something. Yes so far I’m loving the lala whipped. I think it wouldn’t be just as great for dry skin as it is for oily. You should def try it out. You can always take it back if it doesn’t work for you.

At the moment I am on Retin-A gel so my skin has periods where it gets really dry and peels, because of that it’s also a little sensitive. But when it regulates itself out I am combo skin, oily t-zone and dry chin + cheeks

Well I am currently on Retin-A so it makes my skin so dry that it sometimes peels but, when it does regulate itself out I have an oily t-zone and dry cheeks + chin. I would just want a serum to hydrate without making me oily in my t-zone. I’ll get the lala whipped a try, maybe since we are heading into summer it could work for me.

Orlane Vs. Omorovicza

The battle of the anti-aging serums has begun. At the age of 32, I’m all over them like white on rice. In the past I have tired out some anti-aging serums but I was never really dedicated to using them until I discovered Omorovicza skin care and purchased their Gold Flash Firming Serum.
img_9730
After using it a few time (half the bottle to be exact) I began to realize I didn’t like the feeling it would give to my skin after application, this tightening effect to be exact. And I also wasn’t feeling the difference in my skin. I’m not expecting to see a difference in my skin until about 2 bottles in, but I do expect to feel a difference when Ive been using a product for about a month. So I went back into Neimans and told the girl at the Omorovicza counter how I felt about the serum and that’s when she introduced me to this baby: Orlane B21 Extraordinaire Serum
img_9729
I will not bore you guys with too much detail, but in a nutshell they both include anti-aging properties. The way this B21 youth serum feels right after the application is amazing! I can almost feel it working as I apply, it is so soothing and smells soooooo nice. Honestly I have not touched my Omorovicza Serum since B21 has entered my life.  If you’re looking for a day/night serum you HAVE to try this out! For those of you wondering, I just apply it in the mornings after washing and toning. Then I follow up with my Balancing Moisturizer.

Hey Anyut, I have been following your blog for YEARS and absolutely love it! This is my first time commenting, but I’d like your advice please…what is your favourite moisturiser or one you can recommend for normal, 18 year old skin? I’ve researched heavily but would like to hear the opinions of someone with such glowing, flawless skin – you! Thank you so much! x

Hi hun! question, my hair gets oily sooo fast, literally the second day of a fresh blowdry it gets oily. I don’t want to wash my hair every 2 days so I use dry shampoo but hate the feeling of my hair afterwards. Would you recommend any shampoo and conditioner for my hair? Also would you recommend any dry shampoos that don’t leave the white residue and actually work. Thanks!

Lancer Vs. Omorovicza

Hey Guys,

I wanted to share my thoughts on the 2 face scrubs I have in my shower at the moment. If you guys have been following my blog you know I LOVE the Polish Method by Lancer but I never say no to trying new products. So when I was first introduced to Omorovicza I had to try out their facial polish.  About a week into using the Omorovicza scrub I realized that I wasn’t fond of it at all. The beads are soooooo refined that I didn’t feel any scrubbing effect. It felt more like a facewash, whereas Lancer feels AMAZING and you can feel the microbeads really working. What I also didn’t like about the Omorovicza polish was the feeling it left on my skin immediately after using it. It feels like there is product residue on my face right after using it. In a nutshell I much rather prefer Lancers Polish Method.

Hi Anoush. I enjoy reading your blog and I often utilize the product related advise you give! I’ve searched for a good face polish for a while myself, and I finally came across a really good one that polishes and mattifies my skin without drying. The product is by Fresh, and it is called, Umbrian Clay Mattifying Face Exfoliant. It is for normal to oily skin. I haven’t been able to find it at Sephora but you might since you visit so many different ones. I get mine from Neiman Marcus. Please review it if you get to try it. Enjoy your day.

Skin Care

Good Morning Guys,

If y’all recall a month or two ago I discovered this new skincare line Omorovicza (new to me and most stores in my area). I had purchased a few items and have been incorporating them into my skincare routine. Since then I have been OBSESSED with everything I was using. Last week I was at Neiman Marcus and saw that they carry the entire Omorovicza line (whereas Bloomies has only a few items) so I restocked on some my current products and decided to try some new ones as well. I decided to pre-sale the products  because the line itself was giving a nice gift with purchase. Since I had to pick up the products 1 week from the day I purchased them, I was given samples to try out meanwhile. I LOVED every sample I was given so I decided to get them all. Here is what I got:
image
The Queen of Hungary Mist is one of the products that I am restocking on. I used my first bottle to the very last drop. Out of all the facial mists I have used I can honestly say this is the best one!
image
image
I also restocked on the Gold Eye Lift. I really enjoyed using this product, it was the perfect amount of hydration, I didn’t experience any puffiness while using it, and it was not heavy.
image
image
I purchased my first few Omorovicza products from the Bloomingdale’s at the Sherman Oaks Space NK counter. I picked up the Illuminating Lotion, not knowing that it was for dry skin. As I kept using it, I realized it seemed a bit too heavy for me even thought the texture was lightweight. After having my baby, my skin went right back to being combination to oily. So I went to omorovicza.com and read about the entire line and saw I needed the Balancing Moisturizer. Space NK does not have the entire collection but thankfully Neimans does. I was able to try samples of the Balancing Moisturizer for a week and LOVED it! It is really hydrating but extremely light weight on my skin at the same time.
image
image
I have been so into Dr. Lancer’s Polish Method that I was hesitant to give the Refining Facial Polisher a try. But since I’m almost done with my Lancer Polish Method and I have already used a good 4 tubes, I decided to give this a try. I have tried samples before and liked it.
image
image
Another sample I got that I used over the weekend in San Diego and once again loved! Was the Deep Cleansing Mask. I remember applying a thin layer on my face in my hotel at night and getting this tingling feeling as if it was going deep into my pores and detoxifying them. So of course I thought this was a must! Oh, and it is better for oily skin rather than dry.
image
image
My night routine other than wash, tone, and apply eye cream has been my Sunday Riley Good Genes followed by Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream. Which I have been loving for over a year now and had no intention of switching out either of those products until…I was given sample of the Rejuvenating Night Cream. Can you guys tell I’m obsessed with this line?! So, once again I tried the sample 6 nights in a row, following the application of Good Genes of course, and lo and behold it felt amazing! Made my skin look so plump, hydrated, and smooth in the morning. It almost felt like I applied a healing cream to my face.
image
image
Last but not least I needed a treatment/serum. Let’s face it, I’ll be 32 this year and so I definitely need some anti-aging up in this b$&!#! So after reading about all thier serums and asking 100 questions to the specialist at the counter, I decided to go with the Gold Flash Firming Serum.  I used the samples during the day right before my moisturizer. The product is made with real gold so it gives my skin an amazing glow, which makes my foundation look even better.
image
image
Both the Omorovicza counter and Neiman had a gift with purchase the day I was getting all my skincare. Of course Neimans had an ugly grandma bag to give away with some crapy samples in it, which I didn’t care for, but I loved what the Omorovicza GWP so I agreed to leave my products there for a week. Here is the GWP (ugly bag once again) but had great stuff in there.
image
imageAlong with this huge jar of Body Cream, which retails for $95.
image
Can’t wait to start using my babies: Oh and on the right you guys will see the Thermal Cleansing Balm which I still have from my last purchase. This product is the BOMB! It is a deep cleanser that I use every other day.

Skin Care Obsessed

Hey Guys,

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days now. I am about 3 weeks away from giving birth and am soooo busy with getting everything ready for the new baby. I left everything to the last minute. Literally everything! Up until yesterday I hadn’t ordered a car seat, stroller, or any furniture the only items I have been buying over the past few weeks have been clothes. Anyway let’s jump to the topic on hand. SKIN CARE.

For the past few months I have been more into skin care than cosmetics. I know…when I came to realize this it shocked me too. Make-up has always been more important to me than skin care lol, but as I get older I understand that taking care of my skin is way more important than anything else. Since my skin care obsession began I have used many different lines such as Sunday Riley, Tata Harper, Murad, and Dr. Lancer. Over the months I began to see what product from which line works best for my skin. Whereas before I used to think that I should stick to one skin care line and use everything that line has to offer, which I now think is absolutely wrong! Here are some of the products that I LOVE:

LOVE this Lancer face polish. I’m on my 4th one. I use this product every night after washing off my make-up, but before using a final facial cleanser (pm only):
image
LOVE this Murad Clarifying Toner. I use this product after I’m done washing my face, and have dried it. I use the Shiseido Facial Cottons, to apply it every morning and every night.
image
This is another staple product for me, Sunday Riley Good Genes. I use this right after toning my skin in the mornings before moisturizing:
image
Next product I can’t live without is the FAB Face Cleanser, which I use to remove all my make-up at night with the Boscia Konjac Sponge.
image
One other item I am LOVING and am on my second jar of  is the Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream, which I use as a night cream. I have really seen a difference in my skin since using this product:
image
As I have mentioned before I have 3 steps when I wash my face at night. First I remove my make up with FAB facial cleanser, then I scrub using Lancer’s Polish Method and the last step is a deep cleanser. For the longest time I was using Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser which I LOVED and still love, but one day I got tired of it and decided to switch it up. I was at Nordstrom and I came across the Kiehl’s Rare Deep Pore Daily Cleanser. I have not been able to put this product down since purchasing it. It is my last step at night when washing my face.
image
Last but not least I LOVE Lancer’s Volume Enhancing Lip Serum which I use every night and every morning:
image

The products I mentioned above are ones that I keep re-purhacing over and over again and refuse to give up because I truly see them work and see a difference in my skin. I am still on the search for the perfect eye cream and daily moisturizer. I recently finished an entire bottle of Tata Harper Reparative Moisturizer, and I REALLY  liked it, but I wasn’t in LOVE.
image
I have been using Tata’s Hydrating Floral Essence as well but I am not really liking it. Matter of fact the scent is kinda disgusting.
image

Sooooo a few days ago when I finished up my eye cream by Dr. Lancer and my Reparative Moisturize by Tata Harper I decided to search for an eye cream and day time moisturizer from a new line of skin care that I have not yet tried. I went online, did some research and found a line that I was very much interested it. To my surprise Space NK at Bloomies in Sherman Oaks just started carrying the line, so I went over there to see the it in person smell it, touch it and get samples of whatever I was interested in. Everything I wanted at the time was sold out so I had them put me on the list for the next shipment, and 5 days later I was called in to pick up the items I had requested. During those 5 days I used up all the samples I was given and liked the way they made my skin look and feel. Here are my purchases from Omorovicza:
image
Queen of Hungary Mist Smells amazing!
image
Gold Eye Lift (LOVING this so far)
image
Illuminating Moisturizer This is my day time moisturizer.
image
Thermal Cleansing Balm which I used on my dry skin to remove my make-up.
image
Gold Rescue Cream, which I use at night.
image
I also pick up an extra Good Genes cause I was almost out of mine:
image
This is it for now. I am hoping to have good reviews for you guys in a few weeks.
XoXo,
Anyut
