Good Morning!

Hey Guys,

This morning I took a moment to open the boxes that arrived in the mail yesterday. I am soooo excited for my Tarte Shape Tape Concealer it’s not even funny. I had ordered 2 colors light-medium and medium, but for some reason only 1 has arrived. I’m hoping to receive the other one soon. I’m getting ready for a workout so I will take more detailed photos later.
I also received my Wow Moms protein powder:
Since I finally started working out, and I had heard such great reviews on this product I thought I’d try it out. Now I just need to show it to my trainer and make sure I get her approval.

Hope you ALL have a wonderful day.

Hi Nora, to be quiet honest, I purchased it like 2 weeks ago and it has been sitting on my vanity since then. Today was the first time I opened it and didn’t even have time to play with it. But the colors looked amazing!

Online Order Review

Hey Guys,

Sorry I have been a bit MIA. I am adjusting to caring for a newborn lol. It’s been 6 years since I have done this, I totally forgot how the sleepless nights felt -_-. Anyway I took a minute today to take photos of the items that arrived in the mail last week.
I actually was not very fond of the Precision Powder Brush, it looks and feels way to much like the Dose of Colors Setting Powder Brush, which I already have. Plus I don’t like to use such a small flat brush to set my under eyes. My ideal under eye setting brush is the Charlotte Tilbury Powder and Sculpt Brush, or the Kat Von D Shade+Light Contour Brush, both are softer, fluffier, not too dense, and don’t pack on too much powder. I prefer to use my Dose of Colors Setting Brush for highlighting.
Next up is the Setting Powder Brush, which again I didn’t love because I don’t like a pointy tipped powder brush to set my entire face with. I prefer them round or completely flat. The bristles feel wonderful but the shape is not one that I like.
imageI was so excited about these brushes but it seems like I might have to return both. -_-. It is VERY seldom that I return products I buy, because I will tell myself any lie to keep a product that I DON’T need. But when I really don’t like something, or realize that I seriously won’t make any use out of it, it has to go back or I will give it to my sisters.
I tried this Lock-It Concealer Creme and on a scale of 1-10 I give it a 7. It is rich and creamy in texture like it says, and full coverage but…it creases, it is not 24-hour wear like it says it is, and the tones are a bit too yellow for me. I like a little bit of peachy pink in my concealers.
Another item that I was super excited about trying that I again didn’t LOVE, (this whole order was kinda of a fail lol) is the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer.
imageSmells wonderful, is moisturizing, radiant, and is a much better color than Kat Von D’s, but…it’s NOT crease free like it says. I don’t think either one of these concealers compare to MAC Pro-Longwear.
imageI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Lock-It Setting Powder.
It is like SILK, and has this amazing Satin glow to it when applied. I have been setting my under eyes with it and I think it’s sooooo much better than the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder that everyone raves about.
That’s if for todays post, I took 10 breaks to put the pacifier in my daughters mouth while writing this lol.

    Hi Anyut!
How would you use this/compare this to the Charlotte Tilbury flawless pressed powder? Has the Lock-It powder replaced it or do you use them in different places? Thanks!

Hi love, so I actually use both interchangibly. The main difference other than one being loose and the other being a compact is that Kat Von D has a sheen to it. But both are wonderful!

New Buys

Hey Guys,

Here is a breakdown of some products I got on Friday.

NEW BECCA BLUSHES ARE IN STORES!!! I’m sure not all of you are as excited as I am. These 2 were my favorite out of the entire collection. Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush.
imageBlushed Copper is on the left, Tigerlily is on the right.
imageIt had ben a while since I picked up a mascara,  I have had lash extensions for over a month now, so I only use mascara on my bottom lashes.

imageOk, I swear to God the only reason I got this next product was because of the packaging it came in. I thought the actual product inside would have the same pretty photo on it, but to my surprise it did not. Anyway it is the Nars blush in Orgasm, but in a larger size and it’s limited edition.
imageI have never really been a big fan of this color, the only reason I got it is because it is limited edition. I’m sure I will use it a few times though. Similar to this color is CORALista by Benefit, which I LOVE.
imageThis is the second Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye contour quad I am purchasing. I don’t think I posted the first one I got, I don’t even think I have used it yet. But anyway…
imageI loved the big beige color furthest to the left, such a nice all over base color. This is the quad is the Sage-Matte Greens.
imageNow to skin care, on the left is my FAB Face Wash, which I have been using for over 2 years now, I use it to wash off my make-up, with the Boscia Konjac Sponge,  after washing my face (in 3 steps) I use my Murad Clarifying Toner, which I have also been using for a few years now. These 3 are serious staple products in my skin care routine.
imageA few days ago when I first posted all these products, I mentioned that all of these purchases were out of mere boredom. The next 3 products are solid proof of this lol. I was in Sephora wandering around not knowing what else to buy, so I thought of buying red lipsticks. Since I have every single nude that has ever hit the stores. Anyway, I got one blue red, one true red, and one orange red.
imageEstee Edit by Estee Lauder is a new branch of Estee Lauder Cosmetics. I have purchased a few pieces from this collection in the past and have really like them. I chose this beautiful blue red Marooned.
imageSince I love the Too Faced Melted Matte Long Wear Lipsticks, I decided to choose a true red from this collection, Lady Balls is the perfect true red.
imageLOVE this next color by Bite Beauty!
imagePersimmon by Bite Beauty is the most gorgeous orange red EVER! My older sister wears this color often. I seriously LOVE anything Bite Beauty. All their lipsticks and lip crayons are amazing in texture.
imageAfter lightening my hair I thought I should stop using the Granite Brow Powder Duo because I assumed it would be too dark in color. But after buying and trying Dark Brown, and Ebony, I decided to go right back to Granite. I don’t use the color on the right at all, but I love the color on the left.
imageLast but not least we have Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation which I have been using for years, and I don’t know why I stopped. It is very very very long lasting, and has medium to full coverage. I actually used to use this as an everyday foundation in college but I realized it was way too heavy for my skin and was making me break out. But it is the perfect foundation to wear for a night time event. So I decided to pick up another one.

I LOVE the double wear foundation and after using it I can’t use anything else for everyday.. What would you recommend for an everyday foundation that would be kind of similar to double wear as far as coverage and texture. Thanks!

  2. Gabrielle says:

I love the Amuse-Bouche lipsticks, very nice choice. Are the Melted Mattes drying for the lips?

    May 19, 2016 @ 10:27 AM Reply
    1. anyut says:

The melted mattes are definitely drying for the lips, which really bothers me during the day. Sometimes I like to apply Chapstick but over all it’s not that bad.

  3. Annie says:

Hey Anyut! What do you use to apply the estee lauder double wear so it doesn’t come out cakey since it’s so full coverage? Do you set it with any sort of powder afterwards?

    May 21, 2016 @ 5:55 AM Reply
    1. anyut says:

Hi Annie, no it def does not come out cakey and I think it’s because it’s such a dry formula. I apply it with the beauty blender and set it with very very little Youngblood powder

Would you recommend the Boscia sponge as maybe a replacement for the clarisonic for days when you don’t want to use the clarasonic and go with something a bit more gentle?

I am wondering if you have ever tried out the brand Erno Laszlo and if so, what are your thoughts?? I have never tried it out, but I was reading up about them and they have been around for a long time and its been said that it was one of Marilyn Monroe’s favorite beauty brands.
