This morning I took a moment to open the boxes that arrived in the mail yesterday. I am soooo excited for my Tarte Shape Tape Concealer it’s not even funny. I had ordered 2 colors light-medium and medium, but for some reason only 1 has arrived. I’m hoping to receive the other one soon. I’m getting ready for a workout so I will take more detailed photos later.
I also received my Wow Moms protein powder:
Since I finally started working out, and I had heard such great reviews on this product I thought I’d try it out. Now I just need to show it to my trainer and make sure I get her approval.
Hope you ALL have a wonderful day.
Sorry I have been a bit MIA. I am adjusting to caring for a newborn lol. It’s been 6 years since I have done this, I totally forgot how the sleepless nights felt -_-. Anyway I took a minute today to take photos of the items that arrived in the mail last week.
I actually was not very fond of the Precision Powder Brush, it looks and feels way to much like the Dose of Colors Setting Powder Brush, which I already have. Plus I don’t like to use such a small flat brush to set my under eyes. My ideal under eye setting brush is the Charlotte Tilbury Powder and Sculpt Brush, or the Kat Von D Shade+Light Contour Brush, both are softer, fluffier, not too dense, and don’t pack on too much powder. I prefer to use my Dose of Colors Setting Brush for highlighting.
Next up is the Setting Powder Brush, which again I didn’t love because I don’t like a pointy tipped powder brush to set my entire face with. I prefer them round or completely flat. The bristles feel wonderful but the shape is not one that I like.
I was so excited about these brushes but it seems like I might have to return both. -_-. It is VERY seldom that I return products I buy, because I will tell myself any lie to keep a product that I DON’T need. But when I really don’t like something, or realize that I seriously won’t make any use out of it, it has to go back or I will give it to my sisters.
I tried this Lock-It Concealer Creme and on a scale of 1-10 I give it a 7. It is rich and creamy in texture like it says, and full coverage but…it creases, it is not 24-hour wear like it says it is, and the tones are a bit too yellow for me. I like a little bit of peachy pink in my concealers.
Another item that I was super excited about trying that I again didn’t LOVE, (this whole order was kinda of a fail lol) is the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer.
Smells wonderful, is moisturizing, radiant, and is a much better color than Kat Von D’s, but…it’s NOT crease free like it says. I don’t think either one of these concealers compare to MAC Pro-Longwear.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Lock-It Setting Powder.
It is like SILK, and has this amazing Satin glow to it when applied. I have been setting my under eyes with it and I think it’s sooooo much better than the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder that everyone raves about.
That’s if for todays post, I took 10 breaks to put the pacifier in my daughters mouth while writing this lol.
Here is a breakdown of some products I got on Friday.
NEW BECCA BLUSHES ARE IN STORES!!! I’m sure not all of you are as excited as I am. These 2 were my favorite out of the entire collection. Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush.
Blushed Copper is on the left, Tigerlily is on the right.
It had ben a while since I picked up a mascara, I have had lash extensions for over a month now, so I only use mascara on my bottom lashes.
Ok, I swear to God the only reason I got this next product was because of the packaging it came in. I thought the actual product inside would have the same pretty photo on it, but to my surprise it did not. Anyway it is the Nars blush in Orgasm, but in a larger size and it’s limited edition.
I have never really been a big fan of this color, the only reason I got it is because it is limited edition. I’m sure I will use it a few times though. Similar to this color is CORALista by Benefit, which I LOVE.
This is the second Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye contour quad I am purchasing. I don’t think I posted the first one I got, I don’t even think I have used it yet. But anyway…
I loved the big beige color furthest to the left, such a nice all over base color. This is the quad is the Sage-Matte Greens.
Now to skin care, on the left is my FAB Face Wash, which I have been using for over 2 years now, I use it to wash off my make-up, with the Boscia Konjac Sponge, after washing my face (in 3 steps) I use my Murad Clarifying Toner, which I have also been using for a few years now. These 3 are serious staple products in my skin care routine.
A few days ago when I first posted all these products, I mentioned that all of these purchases were out of mere boredom. The next 3 products are solid proof of this lol. I was in Sephora wandering around not knowing what else to buy, so I thought of buying red lipsticks. Since I have every single nude that has ever hit the stores. Anyway, I got one blue red, one true red, and one orange red.
Estee Edit by Estee Lauder is a new branch of Estee Lauder Cosmetics. I have purchased a few pieces from this collection in the past and have really like them. I chose this beautiful blue red Marooned.
Since I love the Too Faced Melted Matte Long Wear Lipsticks, I decided to choose a true red from this collection, Lady Balls is the perfect true red.
LOVE this next color by Bite Beauty!
Persimmon by Bite Beauty is the most gorgeous orange red EVER! My older sister wears this color often. I seriously LOVE anything Bite Beauty. All their lipsticks and lip crayons are amazing in texture.
After lightening my hair I thought I should stop using the Granite Brow Powder Duo because I assumed it would be too dark in color. But after buying and trying Dark Brown, and Ebony, I decided to go right back to Granite. I don’t use the color on the right at all, but I love the color on the left.
Last but not least we have Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation which I have been using for years, and I don’t know why I stopped. It is very very very long lasting, and has medium to full coverage. I actually used to use this as an everyday foundation in college but I realized it was way too heavy for my skin and was making me break out. But it is the perfect foundation to wear for a night time event. So I decided to pick up another one.
My daughter had a performance at school yesterday, and I thought my make-up looked pretty fab and very natural so I decided to post it.
I have no idea why, but this natural day light sun made my face look a completely different color than my neck (I swear it was not like this LMAO).
