Wild At Heart

Ty Artur @ Art Loris Salon for my new cut, these layers are sick! I was so over of my blunt cut. The depth of my layers suit my personality lol. We didn’t touch the length so that I can grow it out.

Hi Sonia, I got hair extensions once in my life I think like 6 years ago and I didn’t like it at all. And I’ve never been a fan of clip in ones either. I just think having hair extensions is so much work. I remember washing them was a hassle, so was brushing them and blowing it out. I don’t have the nerves for it lol. Not to mention how my head would feel dirty. So….no more extensions for me. EVER AGAIN.

Monroe Salon

Suzy’s blow-outs are to DIE! Oh and she makes her assistant wash your hair 4 times before blow drying. I kid you not, 4-5 shampoos at the bowl. To the point where your hair is making a squeaking noise because it’s so clean. If you’re her client you know what I’m talking about. You leave the salon feeling like a few pounds was lifted off your head 😂😂.

Anyut I was wondering if you have any grey hair and how often you dye your hair whether it’s just roots or your whole head. I have so much grey (since I was in high school ) and literally need to dye it every two weeks. My hair is black as well so the greys show a lot!!

    1. anyut says:

Hi love, I don’t have any greys yet. But I would imagine that the only solution would be to dye it very often like u said you do.

Back 2 Basics

Hey Guys,
My light hair lasted as long as my pregnancy did. I guess I never really felt like myself with lighter locks, so yesterday I decided I needed to feel like my old self again ASAP! But instead of dying it black I decided to take my friends advice and do dark brown. I don’t know how long this will last though, if I lose my shit I might just slap on some Elgon in JET BLACK. Anyway I went for a blow dry today and took a few pix of my darker do. I had ZERO make-up on along with bags under my eyes from the lack of sleep -_- so I’m hiding my face πŸ™‚

I think dark hair does suit you the best! Maybe even a nice blue black πŸ˜‰ btw hun what are your thoughts on Brazilian blowouts and do you know of any salons that do a good job with them? My hair type is not the same as yours, but your hair always looks fabulous so I thought I’d ask.

    1. anyut says:

Thanx Anna, I love black just not blue black. I find that the blue tint doesn’t go with a lot of make up colors. I prefer jet black. I am actually against Brazilian unless you have untamable curly frizzy hair. If you have my hair type and you get a Brazilian, your hair will lay flat on your head. It will have no volume. So if your okay with that then I guess do it.

Hi I love your blog Just got some terrible platinum blonde highlights and I miss my dark hair. Any suggestions for going back dark? Should I just get some box color and paint it myself? I got it done at the aveda institute. Any pointers would be great!

Product Review

Hey Guys,

A few weeks ago I had purchased this Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray online and was sooooo excited to try it out mainly because of the ingredients.
image
Since being pregnant and having had the baby I can honestly say I have washed and blow dried my own hair maybe twice in the past 10 months. I’ve been too big, it’s been too hot, and I’m ALWAYS TIRED!Β This made me realize that I’m not putting any of my hair products to use -_-. So I started taking my stuff to my stylist to apply to my hair before and after my blow outs. This conditioner is one of them. I AM IN LOVE WITH IT. It makes my hair feel amazing, it’s light weight, it smells to die for, and the most important thing is the ingredients. It’s infused with great oils like Vitamin E, Argan Oil, Coconut Oil, and Rosehip Oil. Have to rate this product a 9 out of 10. Definitely a must have.

Product Review

Hey guys,

I purchased this Phytopiage Sublime After Sun Hair & Body Oil (that’s a hell of a name) online based on the reviews, and the purpose it serves. Now that I have lightened my hair a little I need to take care of it a bit more than I did when I had black hair. This means, not tying it up too messy in order to prevent breakage, and not going out into the sun without protection so that I don’t dry it up. So basically I was looking for a product that would hydrate my hair after sun exposure, and keep it from becoming crispy :).
image
I put a small amount in my hair after I have spent a few hours out in the sun. On days that I am going to wash my hair or go get a blow dry I will put an abundant amount in my hair leave it in for an hour or 2 then wash it. The product is multi-purpose so you can also use it for your body. I have yet to do that because it doesn’t really have a scent so I prefer to just use it on my hair. I like to put oils on my body that actually smell nice. Anyone who has light hair really needs to understand the importance of keeping their hair hydrated.
XoXo,
Anyut

In my shower…
image
I am using these products interchangeably and here are my thoughts:

-LOVING Kerastase Shampoo, Conditioner, and Treatment.
-LOVING Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Conditioner. Smells amazing, isn’t heavy, makes my hair shiny and healthy.
-Kinda not liking the Rahua Shampoo. I got this from Space NK months ago, and as you can see the bottle is still half empty. That’s when I know I don’t really care for a product, when I’m not really using it. Has a nice lather but my hair sticks to my head during shampooing. Since I shampoo 2x unless I used a lot of product then I’ll shampoo 3x, I will use this shampoo on my second wash. My first wash will be Kerastase because it softens my hair prior to going in with a shampoo that feels harsher on my hair.
-I am still in limbo with Ouai Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. But if I were forced to say if I love or hate it I would go with HATE. I don’t like the way it makes my hair feel in the shower or when I am blow drying. I have a lot of thin hair, and this shampoo might be too heavy for my hair. The conditioner is okay, I don’t hate it. This line was way too hyped up.
-As for Kevin Murphy’s Plumping Wash…I fell in LOVE with the scent of this shampoo when my colorist Suzy used it on me at the shampoo bowl the last time I was at the salon. So without hesitation I bought it. But after using it a few times, I realized this line is too heavy for my hair. So now I only use the conditioner on the ends and I don’t use the shampoo. -_-.
