I’m here for moral support 😉
A couple of months back my best friend Rima introduced me to a wonderful hair stylist. Who has a VERY impressive background in the world of hair, both with her education and work history. Rimes hair color at the time looked great, so did a few other who I knew went by Suzy, so I decided to give her a shot. My goal was to lighten my hair from years and years of permanent black hair dye to a nice brown, without comprising the texture. I believe it was 5 months ago when I first payed a visit to Suzie, and since then I have been very, very pleased with her work. In between the process I had my hair stylist Artur, who cuts my hair, tone my color, but Artur has not done anything drastic. Yesterday I stopped by Monroe Salon to add some more peek-a-boo highlights, color my roots, and also get a cut (first time getting a cut by Suzie, I was pleasantly surprised). She did an amazing job:
OBSESSED is an understatement! For a hairstylist to not give ME ANY room to talk/give my two cents/or my input is extremely rare! But that is exactly what this man did.
–For many years, 8 to be exact, I went to Artur @ Art Loris for my cuts, and even though he is amazing at what he does, I kinda wanted to try someone new. So, I remembered years ago my g/f Rima had mentioned a stylist at Kim Vo Salon named Kasai. I did some research and found out he moved to Tracey Cunningham’s salon MeCHE. I was so excited to try him out!
Here are the results: (I was in such a rush I didn’t take any frontal pix, but I have our office X-Mas party tom so I will definitely post pix)
Oh and did I mention he is a genius at what he does! Kasai has been cutting hair for 25+ years, 15 of which was in NYC at Frederic Fekkai on Fifth Ave, then he moved to LA and was at Kim Vo Salon until recently when he moved to MeCHE. He also travels back to Frederic Fekkai a few weeks out of the year to cut hair, along with San Fransisco and Hawaii.
After going to Roco at The Penthouse by Zee Shah to dye her hair blonde…Hrush once again stopped by Artur at Art Loris Salon, in Studio City to get another cut. I loved her color! Not a single strand of burned hair. And of course Artur did a phenomenal job, but that’s expected.
Haha! Look at Sasha in the back!
