Couple of days ago I stopped by the Beverly Dr Sephora for the first time ever…and picked up some items. Among those items were these new babies:
This gloss has such an amazing texture! The color is nothing special though. It’s completely clear.
To the left I watched First Lover and the right is Ember Glow. Both are GORGEOUS!
I had to contain myself and not get some of the lipsticks just because they are sooooo similar to all the nudes I already own and do not use. But the collection did have some beautiful nudes.
I have found a concealer that that works great for both under eye concealing and spot concealing! Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer . It literally does not move after application. Kind of like the actual double wear foundation. I have been using Boi-ing by Benefit for spot concealing which is great coverage, but I hate how much it moves on my face. Literally after 30 mins of concealing a red blemish it’s red again.
The only negative thing is there is a limitation in colors.
Obsessed with the color of this gloss!
Still one of my all time favorite foundations! Needed to restock.
I swear this is my 3rd Tahiti bronzer, but I also swear that this will be my last. This shit breaks EVERY time!
The packaging sucks! The first 2 I bought broke in the same place. And the thing is they break after months of use, so it’s not like I can go exchange it. So if this one breaks too, as much as I love it, I won’t go pay for another one.
A few days ago I got this new foundation from Estée Lauder and yesterday was my first time wearing it:
It’s smells horrible but it’s such a wonderful foundation! It’s sheer but has great coverage, which I love cause I hate when a foundation feels like heavy cream on my face. I applied it at 9am yesterday, ran so many errands, hit the gym at 2 for an hour, continued running errands, was back home at 5pm and my skin still looked flawless! It’s seriously a great foundation! Oh and the smell doesn’t last all day on your face the way Bare Minerals liquid foundation does. This one only smells while you’re applying it lol.
A couple of weeks ago I got 2 primers by Estee Lauder from Bloomingdales (I think that’s where I got em). I am in the process of using this one: Estee Lauder Mattifying Perfecting Primer
I have been using it for a few days now and I think I like it. I don’t use it all over my face, rather on the areas I feel like I get the most oily during the day. So after I tone, and moisturize, I wait a few mins and apply a tiny amount of the primer on my nose, middle of my forehead, and chin, so basically my T-Zone. After a few days of using it, I realized that I don’t get super matte, I still have to touch up during the day, but not very early on in the day. For example yesterday I applied my make up at 9am, and had to touch up around 4. Not bad I guess.
I still have to try out the Illuminating Perfecting primer by Estee. Sometimes I end up getting so much stuff I forget to use them, and now with the nursing program…I don’t think I will be having too much free time to post.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Okay so most of us have already heard of Estee Lauders Double Wear Foundation, right? Has amazing coverage, lasts insanely long, matte, heavy in texture, basically a wonderful foundation if you are going out, gonna party, and you want your face to stay-in-place and last all day. My old one had oxidized already so I went to Bloomies the other day to buy a new one.
Being that I have no self-control what-so-ever when it comes to products…I could not leave with just the item I needed. I saw another foundation that read Double Wear on it, but this one was in a tube and also said “Maximum Coverage”.
Long story short…I got it, in the same color as my original double wear. Along with this beautiful concealer that was also an illuminator (will post product review on this soon).
So on Friday and Saturday day & night I went out and on all 3 occasions I used Double Wear Maximum Coverage. First night was my first time using it so I used a bit too much. I didn’t realized that a very very very little bit goes a very very very long way! The coverage was f%#$ing phenomenal. Saturday night I put a tiny amount like literally a pea size on the back of my hand and applied it with my Sigma F80 brush. I am obsessed with this foundation! Unlike the original Double Wear formula, this one goes on like satin. Seriously it feels like your applying butter to your skin, that’s how soft it is. I wish I could use it everyday but I feel as if though I would break out from if I did. God knows I’ll try tho!
Anyway…Hope everyone has a great week! I will be enjoying my last week off, until the torture of nursing school and clinicals begins next week.
I just realized that I had forgotten to post my purchases from Sephora in Pasadena. I was on the hunt for new facial cleansers. One for taking my make-up off and one as a morning cleanser. I have been using the Eve Lom for a while now and been loving it, but I thought I should try something new. Anyway here it goes:
I had heard about this Cleanser by First Aid Beauty (FAB) for a while now, and how it melts all your make up off! So I decided to get it. It’s only $20, which is ridiculously cheap after using Eve Lom, and apparently is very popular. I have been using it for a few days now and love it! It seriously takes off ALL my make-up, even eye make up. The only bad thing is it smells like SHIT! So I have learned to not breathe with my nose while I wash my face. lol. Downside to doing this is I end up tasting it.
This Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash I was told was one of the fastest selling face washes. I was looking for a cleanser with micro-beads to use in the morning just to freshen up my face and get it ready for skincare and cosmetic application. So I am giving it a shot. I don’t have anything bad to say about it so far I am really liking the light exfoliating effect.
SO I had hated the new concealer by Estee Lauder from their double wear line, and decided to exchange it for this one. ‘Double Wear’ Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear is def a keeper, but I don’t love it. They didn’t have enough shades, and it kind of creased after application. Seriously no matter where I turn nothing is better than the MAC Prolong Wear.
Last but not least I restocked in the Bobbi Brown gel liner. I feel this one is the easiest to work with. Inglot is great but dries too fast so I can’t wipe it with a q-tip if I make mistakes. Bobbi allows me to wipe in the process and yet once it does dry it doesn’t give me black lines on my lids after a few hours of wear.
Stay tuned for a Get The Look coming up tonight. I will be getting ready around 7:30 for a 9:30 outing. Hopefully I can post in the process.
