I know a lot of you have been waiting for me to review the 2 recent contour kits I had purchased. So here we go.
Let’s start with Marc Jacobs:
I have not one bad thing to say about this product. Matter of fact I love it! The highlight color is very similar to the color Banana from the Anastasia Contour Kit. It’s a beautiful yellow, that really brightens up your skin and has an amazing satin finish. So you don’t look chalky at all! I also love the contour color. I want to say it’s very similar to Hoola by Benefit. I love that it’s not orange, or red, it’s a grayish brown which is an ideal color to contour with.
Moving on the Too Faced Contour Kit.
Also another favorite of mine! LOVE both the contour shades. I like that one is darker than the other, incase you choose to have a darker or lighter contour, or if you get a tan you have a choice between to shades. The highlight color is a light pink which gives a nice cool highlight under the eyes. The only thing I don’t love about this kit is the color “pop of light” which is supposed to be the shimmer highlight. I knew I was not going to like it when I first touched it at Sephora, but since the other colors were so nice I didn’t care. The remaining colors have an amazing satin finish, don’t make your skin look dry, or dusty.
-All in all I love both of these products and I totally recommend them both! If I were to recommend them for different skin tones, I would most likely say: Anyone who like me has a olive/yellow/warm undertone, go for the Marc Jacobs kit, but if you have a neutral/pink undertone then go for Too Faced.
Hope this post was helpful. I’m going to be using my cream contours over the next few days so I’ll post a product review soon. ( I actually used the Anastasia Cream Contour today and did not like it at all, but I need more time)
