I have mixed emotions about this product:
The idea of an oil face wash no longer freaks me out as it did prior to using the Eve Lom Cleanser. But I was never fond of the idea of it, so I eventually stopped using my Eve Lom after a few jars. My main concern with an oil cleanser is the fact that it doesn’t properly remove mascara! I must so though they are amazing when it comes to washing off face make-up.
Anyway when I bought the Tatcha Pure Step Camellia Cleansing Oil I expressed my concern to the chick who was working at the skincare department and she specifically told me that if I very gentle rub my lashes with the oil using my finger tips my mascara would come off. I then continued telling her that I wear like 6 layers of mascara, was she sure that it would remove it? and she reassured me that it would. A few days after bring the product home, I got all excited to finally use it. I applied 2 pumps on my dry hands and massaged it into my dry face. Melted my face make up ALL OFF! so I moved onto my mascara and of course it didn’t do S&%$! Just smeared it. Generally I use my FAB cleanser with my Boscia sponge to wash my make up off and then I use another cleanser like my Boscia Detox to really get that fresh clean finish. FAB washes off ALL my make-up off including my eyes. For some people a 2 step process to wash your face is already too much, for example both my sisters will use a bar of Dove soap and their skin is flawless! I’m fine with a 2 step process but if I decide to continue using the Tatcha oil, I would technically be in a 3 step process which I am not willing to do. I would use the oil to wash my face make-up, then use FAB or Dove soap to wash my eyes, and THEN wash up with Boscia Detox. Ya…no thanx!
So basically if you are someone who wears very little mascara then yes I definitely recommend this product, but if your like me and you use heavy mascara then I don’t recommend it.
