finding the right foundation for your skin type has got to be one of the hardest choices a girl can make, especially since there are so many different products on the market today. One that doesn’t make you break out, one that doesn’t make you look like an oompa-loompa, one that doesn’t make your skin look dried out and caked, one that actually stays put, and your face doesn’t eat up, and finally one that has the right amount of coverage.
i myself prefer full coverage. not that i need it, i just figure if I’m gonna wear something then it might as well make me look flawless. i like my foundations to have build-able coverage because my powder is full coverage already. unless its a sweats n t-shirt kind of a day, then ill suffice with tinted moisturizer.
Right now I’m using a few different foundations. Make Up For Ever HD in #127, Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear in #3.1, Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour full coverage foundation in medium, Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in intensity #3, and last but not least i love combining Nars Sheer Matt in Stromboli with MAC Studio Fix.
I recommend smashbox for all skin types. if your oily in the t-zone carry around with you blotting powder. the formula is kind of creamy, so if you don’t like the feeling of heavy foundation the steer clear.
After using ester lauder double wear for years when going out…i finally realized that i wanted a foundation that stayed on just as long and looked just as great for every day use just without the heaviness. So i found double wear light. make sure to moisturize prior to application, and apply it quick. it tends to dry fast on the skin. Gives a great glow.
so i love the coverage of MAC but hate wearing it on its own…it has not umph! and i love the glow of Narz and how it sets, but i don’t like the coverage. So one day i decided to mix them together…and walah! i looked fantabulous! i get asked what I’m wearing on my face a lot when i combine these 2.
