is the la mer foundation worth the price? and does it have a soft matte finish?

I don’t know about it being worth the price, but it does have a nice velvet finish. Then again I’m sure there are foundations out there at half the price that have the same finish. The only thing I hate about it is the smell. It’s seriously disgusting.

Hi Lily, funny you ask about HA5, I just told my best friend to get it. I have been using samples of the HA5 ever since I started working for Dr. K since we get boxes of them from Allergan. I like to apply 2 pumps before my moisturizer. Do I see an amazing difference in my skin since using it? No, but then again I’m not super consistent with it either. My best friend has dry skin so I told her to get it and she has been really loving it. We use it in out office after the Hydra facial.

You guys! Hands down. Best mask for spot treating blemishes!!!
It comes in a huge jar as well, but I hate masks that I have to dip my fingers in. So these smaller ones in tubes  are better.

Didn’t love it. Didn’t hate it. Biossance Squalane Antioxidant Cleansing Oil.
The solution is too thin in constancy and it’s runny. Not thick enough for my liking. Also right after I rub a little fit on my brows and eye lids to remove any eyeshadow, my eyes would burn. So that wasn’t gonna fly. Had to take this little shit back to where it came from.  So far nothing compares to Boscia makeUp breakUp oil cleanser.

Hey Guys,

Last week I was all out of my Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cleansing Oil and didn’t have time to go to Sephora for another one, so I stopped by Neimans after work and picked up this Tata Harper Nourishing Oil Cleanser.
Anyway I had an event the other day and after coming home I did my same make-up removing routine. I applied the Tata Harper Oil and then with a warm towel I wiped it all off.  But then right before going in with my FAB facial cleanser & Konjac Cleansing Sponge, I took a Neutrogena make-up wipe to my face to see if all my make-up had come off with the oil. I was disappointed to see that there was still make-up residue. The Boscia Cleansing Oil always takes everything off, but this one didn’t. I have used some of Tata’s products in the past, I can’t remember exactly which ones and I have to say that I have not really LOVED any them. But this one is def a no go.

Hey Guys,

I’m legit obsessed with the line Herbivore. Thus far everything I have tried from the line is wonderful. Last night I took as study break and picked up this Sea Mist Coconut + Sea Salt hair mist (smells great), and the Moon Fruit Superfruit Night Treatment. One of the YouTubers I followed had the greatest things to say about the Moon Fruit Treatment so I had to pick it up. I also wanted to get the new Phoenix Cell Regenerating Facial Oil, since I LOVE the Lapis Balancing Facial Oil, but I read that it was for dry skin (which I don’t have) so I put it down. It had such a soothing smell to it.
Some of the other products that I have used and really like from the line are the Coco Rose Coconut Oil Body Polish (I’ve used 2 of these so far). The Blue Tansy AHA + BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask (LOVE), I recently got the Jasmine Green Tea Balancing Toner (it kinds smells bad and I just started using it so I’m not sure how I feel about it yet).  Next on my list is the Rose Hibiscus Coconut Face Mist (I’ve been holding off in this cause I have like 10 face mists at home, but my ALL TIME FAV is the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist).

–I forgot to mention, I used the spray this morning before class and it gave my hair great volume, didn’t make it all crunchy and dry (which most salt sprays will do) and it smells wonderful. The best part is that I don’t feel like I have a shit tone of product (feels very light), I can run my fingers through my hair, and I have great volume.

Masque Clarifiante

After a VERY long day, even though I’m tired as shit and should be in bed by now (I go to bed at 9:30pm lol), I decided to mask it up. Almost every single mask I own is either cleansing or clarifying. This is because I wear foundation almost every single day. So if I’m gonna slap anything on my skin and sit around, it better be cleansing out my pores lol.
IMG_5560I’ve been using the Tata Harper Clarifying Mask for a few months now and really like it. I love the smell and the tingling sensation it gives. Anyway it’s time to wash this baby off. Have a good night everyone.

Good Morning!

7am routine consists of:

WASH: This stuff is amazing. I’ve been using it for a few months now and have nothing but great things to say. I can’t say the same for some of the other products I tried from the line. After 3 weeks they went straight into the trash with ZERO hesitation. Clear Skin Probiotic Cleanser

SPARY: After patting my face dry I spray my FAVORITE facial mist EVER. Queen of Hungary Mist.

EYE CREAM: Next is just your basic eye cream. Nothing too special here. I’m still looking for that I Cream that I’m gonna fall in love with. Benefiance WinkleResist24

VITAMIN C: Moving on to Vitamin C serum. Been using this since it launched and it’s pretty nice. I’ve def seen a difference in my skin since using it. There are so many Vitamin C serums out there now, I only chose this one cause I love Sunday. I give this about 2-3 mins to absorb. C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum

MOISTURIZE: This product is very new to me. I literally bought it yesterday. I read the reviews before buying it, which were great. But what sold me was the texture. It felt like a whipped oil that left no residue what so ever. It seems great for combination (normal to oily) skin. Lala Retro Whipped Cream

What is the point of the face mist? Do you just like the feeling or it provides extra moisture? Also, where does toner come into play? Do you only use it at night?

    June 11, 2017 @ 7:06 AM Reply
    1. anyut says:

Hi Zara, so once my face is dry after washing it, I prefer to apply my serums or moisturizer on damp or moist skin not dry. That’s where the mist comes in. I use the toner at night after washing my face, I dry my face, and then apply the toner on the cotton pad and wipe my face. The toner has witch hazel in it that controls oil and tightens pores, balances the pH of my skin and regulates oil production. So they serve different purposes.

      1. Zara says:

Thank you. Also, I’m looking for a good primer that doesn’t enhance the size of my pores. The smashbox and makeupforever are to drying and the Becca is to illuminating.

At the moment I am on Retin-A gel so my skin has periods where it gets really dry and peels, because of that it’s also a little sensitive. But when it regulates itself out I am combo skin, oily t-zone and dry chin + cheeks

      2. Nani says:

Well I am currently on Retin-A so it makes my skin so dry that it sometimes peels but, when it does regulate itself out I have an oily t-zone and dry cheeks + chin. I would just want a serum to hydrate without making me oily in my t-zone. I’ll get the lala whipped a try, maybe since we are heading into summer it could work for me.

AquaGold Treatment

Hey Guys!

A few days ago I stopped by CRMC to visit my beauty guru Zara Harutyunyan. I went in hoping she was going to use up the remainder of the filler we had left from we injected my cheek bones a few months ago. I literally had to beg her to add more to my cheekbones and she still didn’t do it lmao. Seriously that’s one of the reasons I love her. She told me she doesn’t want me to look like a chipmunk and refuses to fill my cheekbones any more for the next year. -_-. So instead we did the AquaGold Treatment. It’s very similar to micro-needling, except the product is already filled in the vial that has tiny needles at the tip. Zara manually pokes your entire face with the vial and the serum comes out as the needles make tiny punctures in your skin. The serum inside is her own personal concoction. It includes sheep placenta, vitamins, Botox, hyaluronic acid, stem cell, growth factors, and minerals. I kept thinking I’m gonna smell the sheep placenta on my face 😭😭😭.
I have to admit it hurt like a bitch! I wanted to do it without numbing but then I couldn’t take the pain when she began the process lol. So we numbed around my eyes only because that seemed to be where I had the most sensitivity. I highly recommend numbing before doing this, because I have a high pain tolerance and the fact that I couldn’t take the pain…means you should numb. Lol. I left there pretty red, but no scabs and no pain after the procedure.
It’s been 2 weeks since the treatment and my skin looks BOMB! It’s tighter, brighter, glowing, plump, and hydrated! Was that enough adjectives? I’m sure you guys got the point lol. The treatment costs $750, and is worth EVERY PENNY!

I walked into Sephora at the Sherman Oaks mall yesterday and saw 2 Farsali oils on display. The Unicorn Essence  and the Rose Gold Elixir. I had read about these oils and seen them a few times online but for some reason I didn’t get them. So the minute I saw them at the store I grabbed them both, without even knowing the purpose they served. Honestly the name of the products, the packaging, and colors sold me instantly. Yes, I’m that customer. lol.
IMG_1493Oh and did I mention they smell great too.
IMG_1514(I’m continuing this post 2 days after starting it) It’s day 3 since I have purchased them, and every day I realize more and more how pointless this purchase was. I already have a skincare regime that I follow and these just don’t seem to fit in.
IMG_1511But…There is NO WAY I’m taking them back because they just look so great on my vanity.
IMG_1513So they will remain as eye candy. Or I guess I can mix them in with my foundation for a glow but just on my cheeks so I don’t get too oily.
