The best best best.. I left a comment on your post that you recently wrote on the hair pills from Sephora that did not agree with your stomach. I have been taking HSN for almost 2 years.. 2 pills a day and I have NEVER seen results like this product and it is safe, natural and chemical free!!! WIN!!! I distribute for It Works, but that has nothing to do with it because I became a distributor AFTER using this product after 2 months!! AMAZING.. can’t wait to see what you think… take before pic and then one a month later.. trust me… 🙂

Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer

Hey Guys,

I heard about the new Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer a few days ago and of course I had to see what all the hype was about. I picked up the last one at the Sephora in the Americana.
img_8494
And then I bring it home, only to see online that it also came in WHITE.
img_8495
So…I gave this one to my daughter, and immediately ordered the white one online. DUH.
img_8493
I used it this morning…I not sure if I’m ready for a full review, but here is what I can tell you guys. It comes with 3 different head attachments. I have one of the nozzles attached in the last photo I posted, a narrower version of that same piece, and a diffuser. It’s pretty light weight, the sounds is pleasant, the heat is amazingly hot and yet it didn’t seem to burn my hair this morning when I used it, and the pressure is pretty strong as well. There are 3 different levels for the pressure, and 3 different levels for heat, along with one button to cool the air down. I have been using the Super Solano Hair Dryer for years now and have been very happy with it, minus the fact that it is very heavy. About 10 years ago I thought paying $150 was insane for a blow dryer, now I find myself paying over $400. Anyway the more I use it the sooner I will get you guys a better review. So far I’m just enjoying how aesthetically different it is compared to what we are all used to. I can’t wait till my white one arrives, this purple/gray is a pretty ugly color lol but my daughter loves pinks/purples.

HAIRFINITY

Hey Guys,

About 2 weeks ago I ordered these health hair vitamins from Sephora.com.
img_7629
Because I know what was coming to me … HAIR LOSS after giving birth. For some women this can be pretty traumatic because they literally lose patches of hair, and go bald. Fortunately for me I didn’t lose a lot after my first pregnancy (but let me not speak to soon) cause I don’t know what will happen this time around. Our bodies respond differently to each pregnancy. So I wanted to take prophylactic measures and take hair vitamins right around the time (3-4 months postpartum) hair loss usually begins. Literally 3 days into taking the pills I gave myself a stomach ulcer. I had the worst stomach pain every single morning on an empty stomach and it took me a minute until I figured out it was because of the pills. Of course I took it right back to Sephora. If any of you guys have taken these and gotten good results please let me know.

Hi! You need to try hair skin nails by It Works . I have taken them since the birth of my 2 children. Very gentle on the stomach and the results are astounding ! I would be happy to show you my results and give you more info . Plus there are no chemicals or fillers in the 2 pills a day .

  2. Emme says:

I took those for over a year and they made my hair grow faster but didn’t really do much as far as actual hair loss. I just had to go to the salon for trims more often but my hair was falling out at the same rate. Also, I took them at the end of the day before bed and had no issues.

I’m 4 months post-partum as well and the hair loss is just now starting for me and it’s pretty intense I have to say. I did, however, ask my dr about it and he said there’s really not much we can do, it’s just our body’s response to the dramatic drop of hormone levels :/

    Hope that helps!

Apply Castor oil every or every other night onto your roots and wash it off in the morning, and continue taking your prenatal vitamins. Try it out for a month or two and if you love the results, share with others. 😉

    1. anyut says:

So I do the castor oil on my eyebrows and the results really are great, but I can’t imagine applying that thick oil on my hair and then washing it off every single day. It’s too tedious.

      November 5, 2016 @ 7:37 PM Reply
    2. Linda says:

I totally agree with you, but I think the results are worth the short term struggle lol. I have done it myself and my hair is now much thicker and stronger. I personally don’t like and do not recommend taking any oral substances “vitamins” that claim to work because of their possible side effects on the liver and overall health. So the only product that I can think of, that truly works without consuming is this oil.

  5. Susan says:

I’d recommend simply sticking to biotin. I know this product contains biotin but it also comes with extra baggage that aren’t necessary. Biotin will do the job and is more natural. If you can find sublingual Biotin supplements, that’s ideal for maximum absorption. Usually the cause of post partum hair loss is related to iron deficiency, so eating iron rich foods such as spinach and lentils help tremendously with hair loss. Hope that helps. (P.S love your blog and if it adds any credibility, I’m a Nutritionist lol)

I was in the exact same place as you last year. I gave birth in January 2015 and my hair started falling out in a few months, as expected. A combination of 5,000 mcg biotin, castor oil mixed with coconut oil exfoliating scalp massages on a bi-weekly basis, and obviously eating well helped a lot. Believe it or not, I am experiencing minor hair loss again and I have no idea why since it’s been almost two years. I’m a bit impatient this time so besides re-starting the same routine as above, I’ve been searching for products to achieve faster results. I haven’t tried them yet but this is what I’ve discovered so far: 1) My hairstylist mentioned that there is a Kérastase anti-breakage treatment which doesn’t prevent hair loss, but makes hair stronger so there is less fallout. 2) The Aveda Invati Trio System for thinning hair. It just encourages hair growth and also reduces hair loss (This is what I just started). No idea about the results yet, but It’s worth a shot! p.s. love your blog. 🙂

Monroe Salon

Suzy’s blow-outs are to DIE! Oh and she makes her assistant wash your hair 4 times before blow drying. I kid you not, 4-5 shampoos at the bowl. To the point where your hair is making a squeaking noise because it’s so clean. If you’re her client you know what I’m talking about. You leave the salon feeling like a few pounds was lifted off your head 😂😂.

Back 2 Basics

Hey Guys,
My light hair lasted as long as my pregnancy did. I guess I never really felt like myself with lighter locks, so yesterday I decided I needed to feel like my old self again ASAP! But instead of dying it black I decided to take my friends advice and do dark brown. I don’t know how long this will last though, if I lose my shit I might just slap on some Elgon in JET BLACK. Anyway I went for a blow dry today and took a few pix of my darker do. I had ZERO make-up on along with bags under my eyes from the lack of sleep -_- so I’m hiding my face 🙂

I think dark hair does suit you the best! Maybe even a nice blue black 😉 btw hun what are your thoughts on Brazilian blowouts and do you know of any salons that do a good job with them? My hair type is not the same as yours, but your hair always looks fabulous so I thought I’d ask.

    1. anyut says:

Thanx Anna, I love black just not blue black. I find that the blue tint doesn’t go with a lot of make up colors. I prefer jet black. I am actually against Brazilian unless you have untamable curly frizzy hair. If you have my hair type and you get a Brazilian, your hair will lay flat on your head. It will have no volume. So if your okay with that then I guess do it.
