Love Her

I love watching Youtube videos at night before going to bed and Claire Marshall is one of the beauties who’s channel I am subscribed to. I love taking her advice on some of the products she recommends. I think she is sooo beautiful and I especially love her hair!

“Get The Look”

Good Morning Everyone!

I have finally gotten a chance to post a very requested “Get The Look” post on my friend Mary Michelle. Sorry it took so long! Have fun!

Moisturizer: La Mer “Creme de La Mer”
Primer: Mister Mat by Givenchy
Foundation: Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick mixed with Kevyn Aucoin “The Sensual Skin Enhancer”
Under Eye Concealer: MAC Pro Long Wear in NC15
Contour: Bobbi Brown Skin Stick in Espresso
Setting powder: Under eyes Laura Merciers Secret Brightening Powder and for entire face Banana Powder by Ben Nye
Powder contour: Anastasia’s contour palette (best stuff on earth)
Bronzer: Guerlain ‘Terracotta’
Blush: Nars ‘Orgasm’
Highlighter: Kevyn Aucoin
Lips: Oak lipliner by MAC with Turkish Delight by Nars, & clear gloss by Tom Ford in the center of the pout

Here is a step by step (per request) on her eye make-up:

To begin she primed her lids with Benefits “Stay Don’t Stray” primer. She then used MACs paint pot in “Painterly” as a base for the shadows.

The shadows she used to create a smoky liner are Tom Fords “Cocoa Mirage” & “Golden Mink” Quads. The gold glitter from the “Golden Mink” quad she always uses wet. (Tip: the best is to use MACs fix it spray!)

She used two of the darkest browns in these quads to accentuate her crease. The lighter brown in “Cocoa Mirage” was used to blend all in all the colors.

Her eyeliner is a mix of Inglots Gel in Black with Tom Fords Defining Liquid Liner in Black. Inglot Gel dries too quickly so she uses the liquid pen by Tom Ford on top of the gel line to create the inner corner line as well as the wing (this also makes it extra black).

She highlighted her inner corner and brow bone with an eyeshadow called “Brûlée” by MAC.

Lastly, filled in her gorgeous brows with Anastasia’s “Dip Brow Pomade” in the color Chocolate.

False lashes are by Dose of Colors in “Show Stopper”

Hope you all enjoyed this post!

Hi Anyut, I love your blog, your friend looks flawless, I have a question, can you go over how your hair routine is? My hair is also jet black for the past 5 years, and recently I have noticed that my scalp is dry after I shower. Any suggestions? Shampoos? (I hate conditioners because they make my hair feel heavy) The only hair mask that I use once month is the (Its a 10). But in between I was wondering what I can do. Thank You

      Hi Angelica,

Sure. I wash my hair about 3-4 times a week. Once a week I will use a cleansing shampoo to get rid of any product build up or residue. I have posted a lot of my hair products online. The shampoos I use are for color treated hair, nothing that is hydrating or moisturizing so that it doesn’t weigh down my hair, and most are sulfate free. I use conditioner but only on the ends, I never bring it up to my scalp. I deep condition once every 2 weeks, sometimes leaving it in all night. Kerastase conditioning treatment in a tub are amazing! After a shower I will always alway always use a conditioning/detangling spray…and after a blog dry I will always apply serum/oil. If I missed anything let me know. 🙂

Love this look! I see she uses Creme de La Mer. Have you tried any of their products? If so, which ones and did you find them effective. Have your friends tried any and given you feedback on them? I want to buy some but I want to make sure they are worth the money.

      Hi Ella,

I have used 3 different moisturizer from La Mer and I have not loved any of them. Not to say they are no good…It just didn’t do much for my skin. You should go and ask for small samples from the counter and try it out before spending so much money.

“Get The Look”

Good Morning Guys,

I started this post while we were waiting for our Uber last night…But I failed…
So here it goes:

Washed my face with:
Prepped my skin with: Sorry this damn pic would rotate!
Moisturized with:
Eye Cream:image
No Primer

Foundation I used:
Concealer for under eyes I used:
And blended it in with:
Set my face with Youngblood as usual, sorry I forgot a pic.

After the concealer dried I applied this highlight on top (I’m obsessed with this)
Set under my eyes and contoured with:
The yellow color I used under my eyes for a highlight and the darker colors for contour:
Blush: Wild Honey from Becca (can you believe this shit broke after having it for 3 weeks?!)
Eyes: I just smudged some cream liner:
Final Look:

I literally took 1 picture last night…my husband once again attempted to take the photo but he failed again…

How do you like the Josie milk? No matter what moisturizer and/or primer I use, when using certain foundations (E. Lauder/Tarte), my cheeks dry out. I wondered if the milk would help.

On another note, I just purchased the Illasmasqua foundation, have worn it twice and I love the coverage.

Cat Eye

Hey Guys,

Today I was in the mood to wear liner…I have been so busy studying I have not had a chance to pay attention to my appearance. (Hate when that happens, but your priorities change when you’re a student)
Anyway, I had gotten this Bdellium Tools brush from IMATS this year and I love it, cause the tip is bent. The bent tips helps you with the angleOf course Bobbi Browns Gel Liner in Black is one of my favorite eye liners. The reason I love this liner so much is because it really does stay on long. Recently I was in Vegas and I bought the new Laura Mercier gel liner and I hated it! I will do a product review on that soon. After like 2 hours of wear I started to see black liner on my upper eye lids (stupid). Anyway…I also used the Urban Decay Black 24/7 Glide Eye Pencil in my upper lash bed.

Hope you all enjoyed this post…if you have any questions or comments go ahead and leave a reply by clicking on the mint green comment word right below the title of this post.

Hi Anyut, your an inspiration to me, for doing my makeup. I just wanted to let you know that I went to West Coast as well the LA campus, I loved everything about the school, but be aware because they do not prepare you enough for the NCLEX. Thankfully I passed on my second try, but the school kind of does not prepare you well. So my suggestion to you is start studying for the NCLEX as soon you start your nursing classes. And please don’t hesitate I can provide you with much needed study guides throughout the nursing classes. Good Luck with everything, and be aware the some of the students because as one of the teachers put it at west coast, its a dog it dog world at west coast, they will throw you under the bus. Good Luck 🙂
