Fillers

Hey Guys,

A couple of weeks ago I visited Zara at CRMC Cosmetic Rejuvenation Medical Center for the first time. I was referred by a very good friend. I went in hoping to get botox on my forehead and cheek fillers, but instead I ended up with botox and under-eye fillers. After our consultation, Zara told me she would not inject my cheeks because the filler was still there from when I did it back in October with Dr. Chobanian. However, she agreed to do botox and Juvederm under my eyes. I explained to her that Dr. Chobanian had injected my under-eyes months ago and I didn’t like the results at all, but she said she used an alternative technique and would be using a different filler than what Chobanian had used.

Rather than filling directly under the inner corners of my eyes (which is what Chobanian did using Radiesse), she only filled under the outer corners where I had hollowness, using Juvederm. The results were FABULOUS, unnoticeable and I didn’t bruise AT ALL. So…this was all about 3 months ago. I decided to see her yesterday hoping she would finally agree to do my cheek bones and smile lines. Here is the thing, I don’t like to over-do my fillers and look too plastic so a lot of you may think “you just did your cheeks a few months ago” …BUT. I work out 4 days a week religiously and have a VERY fast metabolism. My body metabolizes fillers VERY fast. Radiesse is supposed to last up to 1 year, my body gets rid of it in 4-5 months TOPS.

After looking at my cheeks, Zara agreed to fill them. Except this time we didn’t do my apples and cheek bones like I have always done. I realize now after looking at my photos from my previous injections that it was a bit much, especially the first few weeks. Dr. Chobanian had used a syringe and a half on EACH cheek. Zara on the other hand used only ONE syringe for BOTH cheeks and we still had product left in the syringe that we didn’t use. I also had my smile lines filled for the first time with Juvederm. Here we are injecting my smile lines 🙂

She had just finished my right side, hence the redness going down the side of my nose. Today my cheek bones are still swollen but the smile lines look WONDERFUL. I recently realized that with all the weightloss after having my baby that my face was starting to get too thin and sunk in, and since we all know that my body is priority for me lol and I must remain skinny and toned at ALL times, I fill my face to keep it from looking too thin. I am loving the results so far, so long as I don’t over due it. I had a connection with Zara from the moment I sat in that consultation chair, and I love the advice she gives. She keeps telling me over and over again to do things in a very subtle manner to prevent from looking overdone. I love that if you ask to get something done but you don’t necessarily need it, SHE WON’T DO IT.
XoXo,
Anyut

Hi! Please post after pics. I’m getting fillers & botox in 2 weeks. My injector does not fill nasal labial folds as she says it looks better to inject in the cheek to reduce the nasal labial folds.

Hi Nawal, I have heard that before, but speaking from experience when you do your cheeks the smile lines get worse. The indentation becomes deeper. I will def post after pics.

You’re so natural and fresh faced! Absolutely love ur face shape. Funny, if I had a skinny face like yours i would be getting the same things done but I have a full face. I have chin and lip fillers. I’m thinking of doing under eyes too but I don’t want to look like a swollen pregnant woman lol! They suggested I do masseter reduction but I’m not too sure about it. Anyway, I love these posts from you 🙂

Hi Alisha, ty for the compliment. I recommend under eyes but only if you go to the right Dr. I know Dr. Kassabian also does great under eye fillers. Than you so much for following 🙂

I am getting lip fillers for the first time in a couple of weeks and was wondering if one syringe will be enough for my first time for lip injections? I also have prominent smile lines and want to get those interjected as well. How many syringes do you think I should get?

I got 1 syringe of juve for my smile lines. As for lips honestly I don’t know. I would assume to start with less. I remember my younger sister started with half a syringe every 6 months. I guess it’s a preference.

Product Review

Hey Guys,

The Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray is one of the best if not THE best setting sprays I have EVER used.
IMG_0790
I apply it after all my make-up is complete, it sets my make-up in place making it last all day, but at the same time it doesn’t dry out my face and make it super matte. It is a very fine mist (so I tend to spray it like 6x lol) but it’s seriously a WONDERFUL product. I have an oily t-zone so I thought the fact that it say ” illuminating” would make me oily kind of like the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist which makes me look like a grease ball, but it didn’t have that effect at all. I would like to add that this doesn’t mattify the skin so I like to apply the OLEHENRIKSEN Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator as a primer on my t-zone to keep me from getting too shiny. I definitely think this product is a must have. Recently I had also blogged about the Boscia White Charcoal Mattifying Makeup Setting Spray, but I want to say that they work totally different. The Boscia setting spray is superrrrrr mattifying and leaves your skin dry, flat, and matte. Whereas the Cover FX leaves you SET lol but illuminated.
XoXo,
Anyut

How does this cover fx spray compare to the smashbox primer water?

Honestly I wouldn’t know. I hate the smashbox priming water. It made me break out and did nothing for my make-up.

Cocktails

Recently when I bought my Maison Francis Kurkdjian in Grand Soir I was given a sample of the OUD Satin Mood. I started to cocktail them together and the results were to die! Literally everywhere I went someone stopped me to ask what I had on. So over the weekend I stopped by to pick up a bottle:

While I was there I stopped by the Tom Ford counter and saw this baby Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Body Oil:
IMG_0787
I love the scent of Soleil Blanc, so when I saw the body oil I had to get it. To be honest I was hesitant at first because I don’t like to apply oil with fragrance all over my body, but I figured I can use this only in the areas I will be spraying the perfume.

For all over body oils I like to use products that don’t have fragrance. Like my Kiehl’s Argan Dry Oil.

Anyut

doesn’t the oil make your skin feel really oily. I’ve tried a few times and felt really greasy.

Hi! What are your impressions about Soleil blanc oil after a while? Can you smell the fragrance like with EDP? Planning to buy it so more info would be of great help 🙂 Thanks! Btw, your blog is amazing!

Honestly I am so over that scent! I never used the spray oil with the glitter in it. I gave it away real quick. I hated the feeling of it on my skin. The actual oil in the white opaque bottle was nice.

Thank you for the reply. I had a chance to try the one with shimmer and also didn’t like the feel on the skin. But it smelled amazing. Hope the regular one (that you had) is going to have a fragrance that lingers for some time.
