This morning I decided to play around with my site a little, I was getting tired of the pastels. Due to the change of my theme my texts kinda got moved around sorry if some of my old posts are unorganized.
Last night, my daughter and I decided to go to the Americana for a little bit and unwind. I walked into Sephora, with no real intention of buying anything ’cause I had already gotten some stuff this week but of course THAT didn’t go as planned.
–on a side note, I wanted to clear something up. Throughout a few of my posts I have mentioned that I buy things I “don’t really need,” and a few of my readers have gotten offended by that statement. I rarely explain myself, but this time I will.. The majority of people who follow my site do not know me personally and therefore might take some of the things I write to offense. Me saying, “I bought things that I do not need” simply means I REALLY DIDN’T NEED IT. I mean, I think it should be safe to assume that 90% of my readers understand that I have an issue when it comes to buying beauty products lol. However, how I chose to spend my “disposable income” is entirely MY business. I don’t share my posts with you guys to be “obnoxious.” It’s JUST a blog, not the nightly news. Let’s be real, everyone buys things they don’t need. My intention is never to prove something to my readers, or present myself as someone I am not. I am a very blunt person, I speak my mind and I don’t sugar coat my words. I also have very thick skin and sometimes, I don’t realize that not everyone is like me. On that note, please do not take my comments too personally and don’t take those comments where they have no intentions of going. Thanks and PEACE
Here we go:
This is the new Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation that launched on the 14th in Nars boutiques. I was so anxious to get it.
A few weeks ago I posted the New Kat Von D contour kit and then a week or 2 later they came out with the Shade + Light Contour Brush that goes along with it. I’m so excited about this brush!
The packaging is so cool!
The slanted tip is great for contour and bronzer, and I’ll be using the domed side for setting powder/highlighter under my eyes.
I had seen this a Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer few weeks ago on a Vlog, and could not wait for it to hit the stores. I mean “Carrie & Big”, come on…how can you not get it?!
The pic does not do justice to the actual color! It also came in a pink tone, but I loved the peach.
So since the Melted collection by Too Faced did so well, they decided to expand on the collection and added to the colors. I am obsessed with the new Melted Sugar!!!
I can’t wait to combine the color with Melted Nude.
This morning I was so excited for my new buys that I used all the products. I took one pic at my moms house for inside lighting, and one outdoors, this way you guys see what the colors look like. I’m sure you guys are sick of hearing this but I must say it again…nothing is smoothed, retouched, or tampered with. This way you guys see the true colors of all the products. With that said…don’t zoom to close to my skin lol, you will definitely find imperfections.
I watched this video this morning while putting my make-up on, and realized how much I loved and agreed with some of the points she made. Don’t want to be too specific and pin point exactly which ones they were, but she def hit the spot with them. ENJOY!
Have a great day guys!
Today I had one such a great lip and cheek combo. I had on my new Make Up Forever Sculpting Blush in #26 (I couldn’t find the link on Sephora, I got it from Frends Beauty), and Too Faced Melted Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Nude.
Too Faced Melted Nude looks different on everyone! 2 of my friends wear it and it looks so great on them, such a nice light nude. But when I used to wear it, it would look like a dark warm brown. SO…I recently started applying my Becca Lip Priming Perfector first and then over it I apply the nude. This looks so much nicer and is a lighter nude.
Stopped by Frends Beauty and Bloomies yesterday for a few items that I most certainly did not need:
I missed using my MAC pro long wear concealer, so I decided to get a new one. I had a few laying around the house but I felt like they could have expired by now. I am W (warm) or N (neutral) in skin tone, but I get W in my concealer so that it cancels out any blues or greens.
My good friend Make Up By Lilit got my using this powder to set the concealer under my eyes. I really love it. A while back they were repackaged (a lot bulkier than the previous compact -_-).
I also got the Medium Golden color to use as a touch up powder during the day. I love the texture of this powder cause as it absorbs any oil that you have during the day, and yet it doesn’t make you look dry. You still have this hydrated look to your skin.
I needed a new set of my #1 mascara and primer:
I found this gorgeous lip gloss at Frends Beauty, I got it just cause I have this beaufitul plum blush by Tarte cosmetics that I would love to pair it with:
This is my second time purchasing this lip pencil by Lorac. Last X-Mas during secret santa my best friends raided my make up bag and this was one of the items they took:
Fell in love with this blush by Make Up Forever, such a nice warm color! I have it on today I will try to post a pic:
