MOZZAFIATO Vs. ENZO MILANO

Hey guys,

In todays blog post I will be comparing and contrasting the differences between 2 curling wands, both ceramic, both 25mm, both serving the same propose, and yet so different!

As a beauty blogger sometimes you are given products to give your feedback on, I have realized that in most cases, the bloggers will give only positive feedback in order for them to keep receiving products from a certain company. That doesn’t fly with me. I blog for fun! and my fun ends up benefiting a lot of different stores, salons, people, and companies. At times I do receive products, which is always fun, but never expected, or really needed just FUN!

in any case, a couple of weeks ago at the IMATS, I was given 2 Enzo Milano Curling Wands. Which I really liked when I got home and tried out. I don’t really curl my hair often so I didn’t have much experience with these types of wands and didn’t have an idea on what to expect or what to compare it with. A few weeks later I was introduced to Mozzbeauty on Instagram, a online company that sells curling wands in many different sizes, along with other beauty products. I was very impressed with the pictures I saw on Instagram of stylist using the Mozzafiato wands on their clients. After receiving my Mozzafiato 25mm I finally had something to compare my Enzo Milano to. And let me tell you guys, there really is no comparison.

Here are what both wands look like:

The differences and similarities between the wands…
The only similarity between the curlers is their physical appearance. There are a few differences though. For one, the Mozzafiato heats up much faster than the Enzo, and when both of them are at their highest level of heat, the Mozzafiato is hotter in temperature than the Ezno. Two, the cord at the tip of the Enzo Milano wand is very uncomfortable. When I set the Enzo down to pick up another piece of hair, it doesn’t stay, it twists and turns and tips over. So annoying!!! the Mozzafiato does not do this. Lastly and most importantly, the Mozzafiato only takes about 10 seconds to curl each chunk of hair, where as the Enzo takes about 30. Those extra 15-20 seconds can cause serious damage to my dainty wrists lol. SO all in all there you have it Mozzafiato is the Winner!!!

Monday…Funday?

Good Evening Everyone!

I needed some R&R today after spending an entire week without my amazing nanny…

So I decided to try out  “Grand Spa” a Korean Spa, in Korea Town, that I had not been to before. Boy was I disappointed!!! As I was driving to the location, I already realized that I was not going to like it, but then I got there and I really hated it! By then it was too late to leave, I had driven to 6th street all the way from Burbank, so I went ahead with my appointment.

I normally go to CJ Grand Spa in Northridge, which is spectacularly clean, marble floors, smells amazing, 2 stories, with every type of amenity you could think of. As for “Grand Spa” it smelled, it was crowded, everything was old, horrible customer service, the towel I put my head on smelled horrible, and the stalls you get scrubbed in are not individual and private. So there you have it…Don’t Go to Grand Spa lol. Oh and the lady that scrubbed me, used semi cold water lol and a used bar of soap. WTF is that?

If you guys are looking for a CLEAN, and more luxurious Korean Spa go to CJ Grand Spa in Northridge and ask for the Aroma Package. Olympic Spa is good too, but not as clean as CJ.

Hope this feedback helped!

M.A.C

Hey guys,

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend…I had a wonderful Sunday morning with my girlfriends and am spending the rest of my Sunday at home with my family. Tonight I am going to do a post on one of my favorite concealers by M.A.C cosmetics, one that I have been using constantly for the past few months, and an under eye powder that I set my concealer with.

1

The color is use is NW20. One of the reasons I love this concealer so much is because it does not crease! and the coverage is amazing. I use it under my eyes only not for blemishes.

For the longest time I have been looking for a powder to use under my eyes to get that light effect. I have used so many different products in order to achieve this look from highlighters, to HD Powders, to creams. At the IMATS a couple of weeks ago my friend Lilit from MakeUpByLilit told me that I should use Mineralize SkinFinish Powder by MAC in Light. I have this powder in medium and sometimes use it to touch up during the day, since it has such light coverage. Lilit uses this on herself and her clients.

2

The combination of these 2 products is wonderful! Since the powder is so light in texture, it doesn’t make the under eye look cakey, and the white effect is very subtle yet noticeable. Some of these light powders make the under eye look green or too white.

I use the beauty blender to apply my concealer, and set the concealer with the powder using Laura Mercier Cheek Color Brush.. I like this brush because it’s flat. I then apply bronzer, blush, and the last step is my highlighter so that it blends together the blush and the white under my eyes.

Hope this helped!

Old Town….

Hey guys,

For the past 2 days I have not had a nanny because she has the flu…so instead of going to work, I have been spending my mornings and afternoons (and obviously evenings) with my baby girl. Anyway today we decided to go to Old Town Pasadena, I don’t ever really go to Pasadena unless I’m going to Gold Class, but when I do go once a year, lol I actually enjoy myself.

Every time I go to Gold Class and park in the public parking I pass by a giant store called The Container Store. It would always be too late to walk in so today I decided to go specifically to that store and see if I can find anything to further organize my make-up.

Here is what they had for cosmetics…and this is only the acrylics, there was a lot more but in different materials.

ohh they had a huge LUSH store on Colorado…I didn’t get anything (surprisingly) but I loved how big it was…

7

Anyways…So I came home and got to organizing my stuff. The containers I had gotten a few weeks back were plastic from Bed Bath Beyond, but the ones I got today are acrylic. Acrylic looks so much nicer and most importantly it doesn’t look cheap! I was only able to organize some of my make-up, my face powders, bronzers, and blushes I could not find proper containers for. I’m going back tomorrow to return the things I wasn’t able to make use out of and exchange them for things I still need.

Here is what it looks like so far:

I know its not much anymore after giving away so much, but at least its no longer cluttered. I will slowly refill my collection. lol

Hope you all enjoyed today’s post…Bye Now!

ENJOY your HAIR!

Hi guys,

Hope you all had a great weekend!!! Besides going out and shopping, I spent a lot of time experimenting with new products. I tried out a new foundation and hated it! I will provide a full feed back on that this week. I also used new half lashes that looked extremely natural, loved those. Finally, I tested the Enjoy Luxury Shampoo & Conditioner which I am now OBSESSED with.

I was first intoduced to ENJOY hair products by my hair stylist Arthur at Art Loris Salon in Studio City. The first product I ever got from the line was the Conditioning Spray.

image&

It has been 5 years since I first used this product and no matter how many different detanglers I have tried out in between, I keep going back to this one! Not only does it smell amazing, it detangles, conditions, and moisturizes the hair. The best thing about it all, which matters to ME the most, is that it does not weigh my hair down. I have thin hair, but a lot of it, and the worst thing for me is a product that makes it stick to my head and look like I’m going bald.

Now for the Shampoo & Condition…

image

image

I love this treo!!! Everyone was asking me what I used on my hair ’cause it smelled so good!
image

Most of the time if a shampoo has the word “luxury” on it, it is meant for thicker hair and is very rich in moisture. These shampoos as I mentioned before tend to weigh hair down, especially thin hair. The reason I loved my ENJOY Luxury Shampoo is because it did not weigh my hair down, whatsoever. It had a great lather, and it smelled wonderful!!!

As for the conditioner…AMAZING! I usually apply conditioner to my ends only, never my roots. Once again, so it won’t weigh my hair down. This conditioner however, I applied from root to tip, hoping I was not going to get out of the shower with a greasy scalp. And to my surprise I didn’t! It conditioned my hair without a trace of residue.

Honestly, these products were one of the best shampoo and conditioners I have used in a while. What’s also great is that they are sulfate free! For those of you who don’t know what that means here’s a cheat sheet to shampoo and condition 101, on the house!:

Sodium Sulfate is a cheap and harsh chemical used in products such as soap, shampoo, facial cleanser, and other cleaning products to cut grease. Sodium Sulfate gives soap the soapy effect that we are all used to, but this doesnt mean its a good thing. Although it cuts oil and grease, it harms the hair and scalp. I mean, it can seriously damage the scalp and hair follicles, which will lead to weak hair and premature hair growth!

So now you know!

Day to Night…

Hi Everyone,

So I have mentioned before that I have formed an obsession half lashes, I like them way more than full lashes. During the day I like to just wear mascara, but when night times comes around and I need to give my make-up a little umph…this is what I like to do…

Every morning when I get up to do whatever it is that I’m going to do that day…I wear make-up! Then when night time comes around and I am going to go out I dont like to wash off all my make-up and start from scratch. Especially now that I am a mom, I don’t have all the time in the world to get ready cause I have to entertain a 2 and half year old as I am putting my make-up on or blow-drying my hair. So…what I like to do is wipe off my face make-up with wipes, but keep my mascara on since its the most time consuming process. I re-aplly my face, which only takes me 10 mins, and all I do to make my lashes look more dramatic is add half lashes. My all time favorite ones are from Sephora. Here is what it looks like:

image

My favorite thing about these lashes, compared to other half lashes that I have tried, is the fact that no matter how many times I use and abuse them, they are not effected! lol. I don’t usually apply mascara on them, but even when I do, they remain in perfect condition. I wash them off with water, I dont tear them off, or use any make-up remover, I then take off the glue and re-use. The wonderful thing about washing these off my eyes with water, is that the glue never stays on my lash line, it remains on the false lash.

Hope you all enjoyed todays post!

The Fine Art Of Home Fragrance…

Hi guys,

I wanted to introduce to you all AGRARIA SAN FRANCISCO EST.1970, one of the most amazing lines of home frangrance. For those of you who are not familiar with this line, here is a little introduction to the company. Agraria dates all the way back to 1970 as a boutique that carried a wide variety of items such as books, antiques, unique gifts, and of course candles, incense, potpourri, and other fine home fragrances. One of the most unique aspects of the company is the way thier products are packaged, always in a ready-to-gift manner. Long before we were all going green Agraria was packaging all of its products in woven palm leaf containers from Indonesia.

I was introduced to the line about 4 years ago when a friend of mine bought me a Tasselaire for my car. At the time the line was being carried at Saks Fifth Ave. Yesterday I was shopping at Bloomingdales at the Beverly Center when I came across a beautiful display of AGRARIA SAN FRANCISCO!

image

The line includes everything from candles, air essences, tassels, all the way to bath bars. I decided to get the Tasselaire in Cedar Rose for my car. I hate when my car smells like “car air freshner”. I like unique smells, just like the perfumes I wear.

Hope you guys get a change to check out the line!

Anyuta
